Steve Jobs once debated for thirty minutes on the shade of grey that Apple would use on their restroom signs in their stores.

There are hundreds of stories of his legendary, obsessive attention to detail.

While it often may seem minor in the small scheme of things, it adds up to become major factors over time and in the big scheme.

Attention to detail shows you care

It is all those little things that

  • make all the difference
  • turn people into loyal customers
  • spark gratitude and gratefulness
  • make for a unique experience

Whatever service you offer, whatever product you build — make sure to put in the necessary attention to detail. You never know if and when one of these minor details pays you back big time.

Attention to details holds an intrinsic value

For me as a doctor, attention to detail is of major importance when treating my patients. For those details can tell me sometimes more than the patient knows himself, like

  • their posture
  • their fingernails
  • the shades of white in their eyes
  • little scars

The more you put your focus on the little details, you start noticing them everywhere. And this can open you up to the magic of the world we live in.

“God is in the details.” ~ Ludwig Mies van der Rohe
